Tomorrow is the most important Super Tuesday in the history of the USA.
Let’s get this out of the way – I’m sad to say it, but I fully expect Drumpf to win most of the Republican primaries and caucuses tomorrow. The fact that he is doing so well in this race is an embarrassment to our country. I’m still harboring a tiny bit of hope that his campaign is just a really terrible joke that went viral and has spun out of control, soon to crash and fade from our memories.
Phew. That’s over. Now the good news…
Anyone who knows me or has read past posts of mine knows that I sometimes feel hopelessly overwhelmed by the hypocritically conservative thinking in my current home state. One thing that’s cheering me up?
I’m positive that enough Tennessee Democrats feel the Bern for Bernie Sanders to win our state tomorrow.
It’s astounding the amount that I have seen Bernie Sanders’ campaign grow. Many people who only watch mainstream media still will not know how amazingly well this man is doing, much less what his campaign platform is… but thanks to my obsession with social media and The Young Turks, I do know, and am extremely hopeful.
I have been posting Bernie memes and using the hashtag #FeelTheBern on Facebook since early June. (It may have been earlier, but honestly, I’m too lazy to scroll further back on my Timeline than that.) When I originally started posting about Bernie, I didn’t see other posts on my newsfeed… then, the amount of articles, memes, and #FeelTheBern hashtags on my timeline began to grow daily. A couple weeks ago, it positively exploded when I followed Bernie Sander’s Dank Meme Stash.
People may say that Drumpf is good at marketing himself, but Bernie is the best. He has grown his campaign so much that he is beating all the Republican candidates in polling, and has been virtually tied with Hillary in the primary results that we have so far – and yet he’s done all of this while mainstream media basically refuses to talk about any Democratic candidate except Hillary. Why? Because they care more about receiving money from the DNC than reporting the real news.
Bernie Sanders is running a campaign that is truly for the people. Not only that, but he is running with the people of the USA. He is not running for himself, for fame, for power, or for his religion – he’s running to start making this country a better place for all its citizens, no matter their age, race, gender, or monetary status. If elected, he would be the oldest President of the United States to hold that office. He knows that he may not be around for some of the changes he will put in motion, but he doesn’t care about that – he’s been fighting for the citizens of this country for 50 years. Some things have changed for the better, but he’s not done yet. Bernie Sanders is an inspiration, and just who we need to lead our country forward. He can begin implementing the changes that our country so desperately needs.
If you are a citizen of the USA, vote in your primaries. Make your voice heard. If you want real change, make sure that Bernie Sanders is our Democratic candidate. While it would be amazing to finally have a female president in this country, Hillary is not who we need. It may seem strange, but the perfect person to make our country better is an old, white, Jewish, democratic socialist man. Don’t believe it? Do your research.
I think it’s pretty obvious who will be marked on my ballot when I vote tomorrow.
Vote! Join this historic revolution and Feel The Bern!
